Cornwall, UK, June 2026: Cleaner Seas Group is proud to announce that it has officially been certified as a Certified B Corporation™, joining a growing global community of companies reinventing business by pursuing purpose as well as profit. Cleaner Seas Group has been certified by B Lab™, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp™ movement, as having met rigorous social and environmental standards which represent a commitment to goals extending well beyond shareholder profit.
B Corp Certification addresses the entirety of a business’ operations and covers five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. The certification process is rigorous, with applicants required to reach a benchmark score of over 80 while providing verified evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy use, waste and water management, worker compensation, diversity, and corporate transparency. To complete the certification, companies legally embed their commitment to purpose beyond profit in their company articles.

Cleaner Seas Group develops and deploys filtration technology for domestic and industrial washing machines, capturing microplastics released in greywater. The filters are designed for use across the full scale of laundry operations, from individual households to commercial facilities and cruise ships. Captured microfibre pollution is returned and processed at the recycling centre in Bude, Cornwall ensuring that microplastic waste is not displaced but responsibly managed and repurposed, supporting a world’s first circular approach to microplastic pollution prevention.
Cleaner Seas Group is among the first 100 companies in Cornwall to achieve B Corp Certification. The company is now part of a community of over 9,000 businesses globally who have certified as B Corps. The B Corp community in the UK, representing a broad cross-section of industries and sizes, comprises over 2,500 companies and includes well-known brands such as The Guardian, innocent, Patagonia, and Abel & Cole.
Cleaner Seas Group’s B Corp Certification marks a particularly notable step in the fight against microplastic pollution, offering independently verified proof that the company’s environmental mission is embedded into every aspect of how it operates, not just the products it makes.
“We are delighted to welcome Cleaner Seas Group to the B Corp™ community. This is a movement of companies who are committed to changing how business operates and believe business really can be a force for good. “Our Directors have kept B Corp™️ firmly on the agenda. The journey was no small feat alongside launching our commercial microplastic filters, opening our Microfibre recycling facility whilst juggling the day-to-day. Beyond the badge, it’s about influencing other businesses to look inward at their own stewardship. The focus should be about leaving the planet in a better state than we found it in, we can all do better”
— Dave Miller, CEO, Cleaner Seas Group
